Dr. William Martin

Dr. Bill Martin, MD, MBA, MPH, MMCi, serves as a Medical Director at Occucare and holds multiple corporate medical leadership roles across several industries. He is currently the Global Medical Director for a Fortune 500 chemical manufacturer, the Chief Medical Officer of an online occupational medicine platform, and provides medical oversight in the defense, maritime, oil and gas, energy, biotechnology, and agricultural sectors.

Prior to joining Occucare, Dr. Martin served in the United States Navy as a senior medical officer and medical director, including overseas deployments and executive advisory roles on health and safety. Known for his deep familiarity with client operations and 24/7 responsiveness, he brings strategic insight and operational reliability to every engagement.

Dr. Martin completed his residency in Occupational and Environmental Medicine at Duke University, where he also earned a Master of Management in Clinical Informatics (MMCi), making him one of the few physicians dually trained in occupational medicine and clinical informatics. He is a certified Medical Review Officer (MRO) and a CAOHC Professional Supervisor (PS) for OSHA hearing conservation programs.

He holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina, where he focused on environmental toxicology and published research in laboratory animal allergy and occupational asthma. He earned his dual MD/MBA from Texas Tech University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas A&M University.
