Dr. Gonzalez is a distinguished Occupational Medical Physician and the Medical Director for Occucare International, bringing over 12 years of experience to the service of injured workers. Shaped by a rich bicultural and binational family background, Dr. Gonzalez is fluent in both English and Spanish and possesses a unique cultural insight that enhances his practice.

After graduating from Texas Tech School of Medicine and completing training in Trauma and General Surgery, he transitioned to Occupational and Preventive Medicine in 2012. His deep understanding of the Texas Workers’ Compensation system and consistent high performance with the TDI–DWC underscore his expertise. Dr. Gonzalez is a sought-after speaker, sharing his knowledge on topics such as musculoskeletal injuries and heat-related illnesses at numerous conferences and corporate events.

His bicultural fluency is a significant asset in industrial medicine, fostering strong collaborative relationships with safety managers, case managers, and adjusters to optimize communication and patient care. Dr. Gonzalez believes in a holistic approach to medicine, integrating scientific principles with empathy to achieve optimal healing and long-term well-being.
