Occucare commends our client, United Group Services, for 40 years of business and achievement!Lhoren Morris
United Group Services, Inc. of West Chester, Ohio is pleased to announce the company’s 40th year in business. The company was created as United Industrial Piping in 1982 and founded by Mark Mosley, who remains as the company’s Chairman. The name change in 2005 to United Group Services, was necessary due to the growth and expansion of, not only services but geographical reach and ability horsepower. United Group Services now includes a variety of business units to serve the construction industry including labor support, accredited pipe welding schools, and an HVAC firm (Core Crew, Elite Welding Academies, and Innovative Mechanical). To mark this milestone, the company has planned an open house on April 8 where employees, clients, and business partners will gather to celebrate United’s history, culture, achievement, and future. CEO Dan Freese stated that “this remarkable achievement is due to Mark making his dream a reality, then creating a culture for growth in a very tough industry and having great employees and business supporters to get us where we are today.”
As a matter of complete coincidence, United Group Services was recently honored by its trade association, Associated Builders and Contractors by being named their 2022 Contractor of the Year. This award was bestowed to United on March 16 in San Antonio at the ABC National Convention. ABC is the largest merit shop association in the U.S. and United is humbled to receive such a level of national recognition. United Group Services will also be the featured article in the April edition of the Construction Executive, a national journal of the construction industry. Here is a quote from the actual awards presentation:
“United Group Services continues to be a leader in quality, safety, and service—its core values—and the merit shop philosophy,” said 2022 National Chair of the ABC Board of Directors Stephanie Schmidt, president, Poole Anderson Construction, State College, Pennsylvania. “This company is committed to ABC’s mission, with an entrepreneurial, innovative approach to growth and an organizational culture focused on education and industry engagement. It is an honor to present United Group Services with this well-deserved award.”
Wait, there is more:
United Group Services also received the Pinnacle Health and Safety Award from Associated Builders and Contractors at the same gala in San Antonio. The Pinnacle award is the highest level and only companies receiving the National Safety Excellence Award for two or more consecutive years are eligible. United Group Services is also a 2022 ABC Top Performer and Accredited Quality Contractor.
And if that is not enough:
Exemplifying the impact of United’s values on our Industry as a whole, Kevin Sell, our Core Values Officer, received the Associated Builders Contractors “Chairman’s Award” at the National Convention in Texas. This is an award very seldom bestowed and reserved for a select few who have made a meaningful and perpetual impact on ABC and its member. As stated by Dan Freese, CEO, “United is proud of Kevin, the example he sets daily and all he does for United, our clients, and our communities.”
